Medicine is a rewarding career; however , a doctor involves in a lifetime learning, both formally and informally. There are a large number of specialty career paths in medicine-with lot of career options available, a doctor is assured of finding a suitable career. The options may include; a surgeon, a physician, a cardiologist, a psychiatrist, a medical researcher or a public health physician to name a few. I hope one day the graduates of Monno Medical College will serve the ailing humanity all over the globe, by excelling in the medical field and bring laurels to their motherland. Medical science is challenging, exciting and dynamic. Countless new discoveries are making their impact on medical practice, and doctors or new generation will see even more dramatic change in future with the development of many new therapies, involving not only drugs, but also treatments arising from research. Message from Chairman

Monno Welfare Foundation has developed this quality Medical College and advanced healthcare service for the people of Bangladesh. After four decades of continuous humanitarian service by many ways, we have diversified our services to the propagation of graduate medical professionals for health care services. Since 2008 we are helping the low-income group of people of the locality in receiving medical care through our hospital. Monno Medical College is committed to provide and ensure high quality medical education in our country.

Opting medical profession is a matter of all time privilege. However capacities and resources of the public medical colleges are limited. Consequently, many learners, despite their innate potentials, fail to accomplish their long cherished goal to be a doctor and thus to serve humanity for the capacities of the medical college of our country and unaffordable expenses abroad. Monno Medical College is the only medical college in this region which has its own campus at Monno City, Gilondo, Manikganj in a serene natural environment provid- ing ample scope to focus on excellent teaching facilities and research in medical science. The medical college along with its all modern teaching facilities and a very well designed and planned modern hospital equipped with modern diagnostic laboratory and treatment facilities, will be an ideal academy to provide the medical learners’ need based learning, generating self confidence in identifying and managing health problems in rural area with a humanly attitude as well as generation of processionals’ skill in modern medical science. I am happy to know that Monno Medical College has grown up successfully over the last few years.

Message from Principal

I’m delightful to introduce this Monno Medical College to the students expecting to build their careers in medical science as well as to their parents in the country and abroad that this medical college started its journey since the session 2011-2012, affiliated by the University of Dhaka, known as the Oxford of the East. The medical college is situated in a serine natural environment at Manikganj district almost near the bank of the renowned river Padma famous for the most palatable fish to Bangalees ‘The Hilsha’ The founder of this medical college, late Harunar Rashid Khan Monno, who was a legendary charitable man, a honest and success- ful businessman with farsightedness. By his inspiration and request | joined as the principal of this medical college on 1° January, 2017 after my retirement as the principal of a Govt. Medical college. By this time 8th batch of students are admitted last year. The students opting to be admitted in the 9th batch in the session 2019-2020 are lucky in that by this time a number of legendary medical teachers of different major disciplines of medical science such a Medicine, Surgery, Gynae & Obs, Cardiology as well as of the basic sciences graced this institution.

In this college, the students are highly valued and the academic program is well organized. The faculty members here, in addition to guide the academic activities, are available always to assist, support, counsel and solve their extra academic problems as well. Sincere efforts are made to attract the students to their places of learning and modern teaching methods are extensively used by the teachers for imparting lessons. Students are also encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities such as sports, social and cultural events.

Monno Medical College has been facilitated with advanced medical treatment oriented machineries, equipments, tools, study materials and human resources. | can assure that the students from home and abroad to be admitted in this Medical college shall be able to fulfill their desire by their sincere efforts and the excellent input from the faculties of this Medical College which will definitely help students to be true doctors and can contribute in serving the humanity worldwide.
