Welcome to Shahabuddin Medical College, Dhaka, Bangladesh. This is one of the best Private Medical College in Dhaka, Bangladesh and situated at most prestigious, secured and diplomatic Area of the capital city of Bangladesh as well as heart of the Dhaka City . It has very fabulous built college buildings in its own land of 12 storied building having 2,40,000 sft. It was established in 2003, fulfilling all the guidelines and criteria set up by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council and University of Dhaka. The government has been pleased to give permission for admission of 100 students per year MBBs course for every session.

The Shahabuddin Medical College is also enlistment of Medical College is the world directory of medical schools and International Medical Education Directory ( IMED) required applying for USMLE examination by ECFMG USA for job/post graduate training USA & North American countries. It has 500 bedded running Hospital with outdoor & senior facilities and always busy with patients. Academic faculty is much enriched with senior renowned Professors and also energetic dedicated junior and mid level teachers. It has very good hostel facilities for both local and overseas students are available. Library with all recommended Text books, Reference books, Journals including International ones are provided. Internet facilities are also available. Extra academic cultural activities, games and sports facilities are there. Forty percent (40%) seats are available for foreign students.

At present foreign students are already studying in our college from different countries like Nepal, India & Kashmir. They are very much happy with existing congenial and academic environment of the College & Hospital.

Application are invited for admission into 1st year MBBS for the academic session 2019-2020 in Shahabuddin Medical College under Dhaka University.

The Founder

Mr. Mohammed Shahabuddin is a renowned reputed and an eminent businessman with high credentiality and preserves the highest level of commitment towards social reforms and in alleviating sufferings of humanity.

Mr. Mohammed Shahabuddin subsequently completed his education with dignity and honor from national university. During his student life he observed with deep empathy that the village people, mostly of under privileged community were suffering from lot of distress, disease and deprivation, which virtually insisted him to do something for those huge uncared population of the country. He believes that goal and excellence can be achieved by not only money and materials but also requires skill human resources.

Campus

Shahabuddin Medical College has a well organized modern campus located in Gulshan, which is the most prestigious and secured area of Dhaka city. The campus includes a College building and a Hospital building, both of which are 12 storied and hold all the attributes of modern architecture.Male Hostel building lies adjacent to the college building.

College building holds the administrative wings along with the pre and para-clinical departments. Administrative wing comprises of office of the Chairman, Principal, Vice-Principal along with other
college administrative offices.

College building also has Departments of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Community Medicine,Forensic Medicine, Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Pathology and Microbiology.

College building also has the Library, Lecture Halls, Conference rooms, CME unit, Common room,Prayer room, Canteen and one wing of the Female hostel.

Hospital building faces the college building and is equipped with all the facilities of a modernhospital. Shahabuddin Medical College Hospital is a 500 bed hospital and holds VIP Cabin, General
Cabin, General wards, OPD (Out Patient Department), Emergency , ICU, CCU, NICU, Operation Theatres, Kidney dialysis unit, Physiotherapy unit, Pharmacy , Laboratory and Imaging unit.

Hospital building has all the departments of clinical subjects naming Department of Medicine along with its allied subjects, Department of Surgery along with its allied subjects, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Shahabuddin Medical College is eagerly awaiting inauguration of its new campus at Gazipur. The new campus is built on 103 decimal area which contains separate Academic building, Hospital building,Male & Female hostel with all other modern facilities.

Clinical Skills facilities (Hospital)

Shahabuddin Medical College Hospital has 500 beds, where both outdoor and indoor services are provided by renowned physicians round the clock. Besides the regular services it also provides modern facilities Like ICU (Intensive care unit), CCU (Coronary Care Unit), NICU (Neonatal Intensive- Care-Unit), PICU, High Dependency Unit (HDU), Kidney dialysis unit, Physiotherapy unit etc.

Lecture Theatres

College has 3 lecture theatres, all are fully air-conditioned. They are equipped with state of art audiovisual facilities like Multimedia projectors, Slide projectors, Overhead projectors, Sound Systems and White board.

Library

College library is spacious and fully air-conditioned. It has rich collection of medical textbooks, reference books, national and international journals. Library has separate reading arrangements for students and teachers. Both students and teachers can access the library computers which has internet connectivity. Library is also under Wifi coverage.
