The academic rules and regulations prescribed by all associated affiliating bodies (SUST, BMDC & Ministry of Health) are strictly followed and monitored. The institute has excellent facilities to educate pre-clinical students through well equipped laboratories and organized lectures, tutorials and practical demonstration using audio visual & multimedia aids. The college library is enriched with latest edition of text books of different disciplines and with internet facilities & Browsing which can get connected with other libraries to get latest information on any topics of academic interest.

College Profile.

Sylhet located in the north eastern part of the country well-known for the great saint Hazarat Shahjalal (R) yeamini and his 360 followers. The spiritual capital of Bangladesh has got huge natural resources like oil, gas, stones, tea garden also renown for natural beauty of water fall of Madhab kundo, beautiful rivers and hills along side the seven sisters of India, Lawachara echo park at Sreemangal is a very attractive spot, attract lot of tourists from across the country.

Sylhet had recorded number of civil servants and officers both in civil and defense services. The literacy rate of Sylhet was higher than rest of the Country. In resent years students are going abroad and earning foreign currency which is more lucrative so they are also busy in trying to make fortune which has lead to less literacy rate in comparison to other districts. Encouragement from the government for higher education in the country. There have been a rapid growth of educational institutions like private universities, private medical colleges etc. Sylhet has also availed, the opportunity by establishing private medical colleges and private universities.

There are 2 public universities and four private universities. One government medical college and 4 private medical colleges and one government engineering colleges which are sufficient for greater sylhet division.

As there is no Dental College in Sylhet Division. A group of social workers from home and abroad under the banner of AL Amin Associates Sylhet decided to establish a Dental College at Sylhet to produce quality dental surgeons and provide quality dental care for the vast population. A group of young energetic dental surgeons also came forward to materialize the project, namely, Al Amin Dental College Sylhet Located at the heart of the City at Shahjalal Uposhohor plot no 12, Block E.

Sylhet Central  Dental College, Sylhet started its journey in Sylhet City Corporation in a own multi-storied building to produce quality Dental manpower for the country in the year 2014.
